British Virgin Islands

The Baths on Virgin Gorda are the BVI's most famous landmark.  Huge granite boulders form incredible caves and pools.  There is even a marked trail complete with ladders and ropes to help you explore this unique natural wonder.

The caves at Norman Island, the beach at Peter Island and the wreck of the Rhone at Salt Island hint at the variety of scenery the BVI is famous for.

When you charter Safari there's no need to keep to a set schedule. It's your holiday and we want you to enjoy it to the full.  You can go wherever you like within the BVI - weather and time permitting.  Together we develop an itinerary that encompasses your wish list and includes other areas we feel you would enjoy.  It's a very flexible arrangement.

Located 60 miles east of  Puerto Rico, the BVI includes 40-odd islands and cays.  Once a haven for pirates like Blackbeard and Henry Morgan, its many small bays and hidden coves make it one of the world's loveliest cruising grounds.  Most of the sailing is in protected water with nice flat seas, good wind and always another boat to race with.

The weather is balmy year round, with daily highs around 80°F.  Consistent easterly trade winds keep humidity low and Caribbean currents keep the surrounding waters warm.  Like most other Islands, the BVI can get hit by hurricanes, but we start our charter season a little late so as to completely eliminate the possibility during your visit.

The picture at right is from the space-shuttle showing Virgin Gorda to Anegada.  For you hard-core windsurfers and kiteboarders, this area rocks.  That red track is a perfect 14 mile reach in big ocean rollers.

Horseshoe Reef, extending for 10 miles from the southeastern tip of Anegada, is the third largest in the world and is home to over 500 shipwrecks of all ages.

Safari anchored off Eustatia Island with the popular Bitter End Resort in the background. The perfect place to enjoy a cold drink on the beach. While we can't guarantee having an anchorage to ourselves, we specialize in finding the most secluded spots.
