Thank you so much for a wonderful experience on Safari! Our trip to Las Aves was the trip of a lifetime and truly one of the best vacations we have ever taken. From the moment we came aboard, we knew we were in the perfect place with the best people. Luxury and relaxation at its finest! Ed & Nat are a terrific couple who know exactly how to make this sailing vacation the ideal getaway. Ed is an excellent captain and sailing on Safari was unbelievably fun and entertaining. We couldn’t get over how many dolphins we saw! The on-board experience was equally brilliant: gorgeous boat, a lovely large cabin, and food and wine that were absolutely exemplary (thanks to Nat’s ability to cook both high end cuisine and delicious “comfy” foods so well and wine pairings for each meal that were just superb). And to top it all off is the crown jewel of this experience: Las Aves. Arriving at Las Aves is like finding your own personal piece of heaven. Crystal clear water, soft white sand, and warm tropical breezes allow you to lose track of time and just relax and enjoy. Although the snorkeling, beach combing, reef exploration, kayaking, and even beach-napping was fun beyond belief we think that the best part of Las Aves is the genuine feeling that you are living on your own private island, but with all the best amenities one could ever imagine. We will always treasure our memories of our spectacular time on board Safari. Thank you again!

Thank you so much for guiding us on a truly unique honeymoon sailing adventure. The Aves are an amazing place that we will never forget – especially our own private white sand beach. The service you provided was top notch. We felt like a king and queen on our own yacht – you went the extra mile to make sure all our needs were being met. Every meal was beautifully presented and was so delicious – and the wine pairings were excellent. To this day we have no idea how you were able to generate so much amazing food in a small boat’s kitchen in the middle of the ocean! Sailing with you guys was a great way to unwind after the hectic whirlwind of a wedding – thanks so much for a wonderful experience!

Our travel style is to find an exotic, luxury destination that offers personalized attention. Safari Sailing gave us the boutique experience we were looking for, with an exotic locale and wonderful hosts. Being able to leave all decision- making to Ed and Natalie's good judgment and great style led to a blissful ten days in Las Aves, where for the first time in years, we completely lost track of time. The reefs with great snorkeling, were always a short jump off the deck. "Rancho de Bambi" (palapa), with its wonderful shade on a deserted beach, was an easy float from the boat and a perfect spot to read and relax until cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were delivered. On a Safari Sailing charter, you can do as much or as little as you want. And while there were incredible options to take advantage of in this special place, for us, just practicing the art of doing nothing was perfect.

My Mom and I fear that it will be very difficult to return to the “rat race” after the fabulous week we spent with you on Safari. I know my Mom will miss the beauty of the islands, the amazing clearness of the water, and the colorful vegetation. As for myself, although I will certainly miss the peaceful mornings, the beautiful sunsets, the gorgeous scenery, the water sports, I KNOW it is all the pampering that I will miss the most, not to mention Natalie’s cooking! Your care, knowledge and friendliness made us feel so privileged and turned our holidays into a memorable week of fun and adventure aboard Safari! Thank you also for introducing us to the best snorkeling locations (that turtle and those sea rays were incredible!), the best beaches, the best shopping spots (Natalie has particular expertise in this area!). We will think back longingly on that special week and look forward to our next return!

Imagine sailing through the British Virgin Islands on a private sailing charter, perfect weather, magnificent boat, trustworthy crew, fabulous food... well you don't have to if you book an adventure with Safari. DO IT NOW! Our honeymoon was a spectacular adventure filled with sailing, hiking, biking, sleeping, sunning, eating and love. Having been on several sailing charters I can say without hesitation this was by far the best and we would go again. Happy Sailing.

The Aves is a fantastic area and the sail over was easier than expected. Thanks for showing us your special island with it's perfect beach. Your boat is incredible and you both are doing great work. We loved the beach BBQ under the stars and Nat's artichoke bake was heavenly. The unlimited fresh water showers in such a dry and remote place were sublime. Thanks to Ed's windsurfing tips, we are really improving. Bronte will miss the spearfishing and I'll miss all that fresh fish! We really enjoyed our time with you. Shame it had to end so soon, but we hope to return someday.

With previous boat: After chartering a few bareboats, we decided to try a crewed boat. What a difference! For about the same money, we were pampered, fed like kings and still got to sail as much as we wanted. All the hassles of bareboating (anchoring, docking, cooking, cleaning, etc.) were eliminated and Ed's local knowledge of the sailing waters led us to spots we never would have found.
Truly a decadent way to sail.
